The Historic Bekins Van & Storage Co. Building
HONS Apartments building was originally constructed in 1906 as a warehouse for Bekins Van and Storage Co. A second 5-story building, the one-story building and a gas station were added to this location from 1927-1929. During the Great Depression caused a default on many of the storage units, resulting in the Bekins company opening a used furniture store.
